You are going to love how easy this Happy Days Triangle Shawl crochet pattern is, and it’s worked in one of my favourite stitch patterns!

I have worked so many projects in this crochet stitch. The moss stitch (sometimes called the Linen Stitch) is a favourite crochet stitch for many people and it makes sense! The moss stitch is comprised of basic crochet stitches, it creates a solid fabric that is the same on both sides, and it has a beautiful texture with beautiful drape. This is displayed really well in the Happy Days Triangle Shawl Crochet Pattern. If you would like to see other projects worked in this stitch you may wish to check out my Ridley Crochet Beanie, the Nautical Throw or the Benjamin Throw. I just love this stitch!

A crochet triangle shawl in rainbow coloured yarn

Today, in the Happy Days Triangle Shawl crochet pattern I use this stitch pattern in a corner to corner style. For the shawl you will start at the bottom point of the shawl and work up to the top straight edge in a triangle shape. I have worked this shawl extra large, measuring approximately 43 x 83 inches at the widest points, using one and a half Mandala Bonus Bundles by Lion Brand and have added a tassel to each corner. Each of the bonus bundle cakes has approximately 1100 yards.

The wonderful thing about the Lion Brand Mandala cakes is the seamless colour changes and colour selection in the cakes. If you do not have access to this type of yarn however, you may use any light weight (#3) yarn. And then you will just need a 5 mm (H/8) crochet hook!

    • Turn at the end of each row.
    • Weave in ends as needed.
    • To change the size of your shawl, you will simply work the pattern to the desired dimensions.
    • OPTIONAL: Add tassels to ends if desired.
    • In order to get the colours to change in order when adding the new ball of yarn, I did separate the colours in the yarn cake.
