The Iris Shawl Crochet Pattern is a beautiful lace crochet pattern featuring easy to work double crochet diamonds.
This crochet shawl is worked in a fine (#2) weight yarn and a 3.5 mm crochet hook. The result is a light weight lace shawl with beautiful drape. It is also worked along the short edge side to side which means that for those who do not like working into long foundation chains, this shawl is not as daunting. Usually I like to work my shawls along the long edge, as I did recently for the Blue Belle Shawl, but I love the straight edge look that this method creates.
As mentioned above, the Iris Shawl is worked in a fine weight yarn. The particular yarn used in this shawl is called Twister by Hobbii. It’s a cotton and acrylic blend yarn that is very soft and features gradual colour changes. Each cake has about 1094 yards (1000 metres) and you will only need one cake to complete the project. You will also need a 3.5 mm (E/4) crochet hook.

Hi, I love this Shawl and decided to try make it. But, i dont get the start to ad up. I have counted and start over a lot of times now. At the end of row 1, when i reached the end to where you are left with the 5 stich to make 3 dc and then the last 4, i skip 12 and not 11 as i did in the rest of the row. I even put this in a excell sheet just to se what im missing, but even here i skip 12 and not 11 at the end of row one. I just wonder, since you dont do the 2dc 1ch 2dc at the end but 3+4, du you skip 12 to be left with the 5 you need for this? I just dont get this.
