A gold coloured, lacy crochet market bag

The Design:

Similar to the other market bags in the collection, this bag is worked as one piece from the bottom up.  I have worked it in a 100% worsted weight cotton which I find best to use when making crochet market bags.  The design features rows of chain stitches and single crochet stitches.  So it’s very easy to work!

Materials for this Tutorial:

For this tutorial today I will be using some Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in one colour shown in Mineral Yellow.  You may wish to add more!  I will give you the colour details and amounts with the written pattern below. It is a worsted weight 100% cotton yarn. I highly recommend using cotton for your market bags.  It is easy to wash and hold up well to wear and tear! The hook shown in the video below is a 5 mm birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarns.  However you may use any hook and yarn combination you choose.
