Stay cozy and warm this winter with the Jayden Mittens crochet pattern! It will go wonderfully with your Jayden Beanie!
I love crochet mittens and really think they need more attention! They are thick, cozy and easy to make as we learned over the last month during the Wonderful Hats Crochet Along. During the event we learned two new crochet mitten patterns including the Drew Mittens and the Taylor Mittens. Even though I included a scarf pattern to go with the Jayden Beanie, I knew I wanted to also create a mitten pattern.
As expected, they turned out so cozy and thick!

The Jayden Mittens is a wonderfully warm mitten pattern worked in a single crochet two together stitch that is partly worked in the same stitch as the one before. This makes the design extra squishy, almost like a puff stitch, but not as dense. I love it in this pair of mittens! And now you can complete the Jayden Beanie, scarf and mittens set.

Making the Jayden Mittens:
Like the other crochet mitten patterns mentioned above, the crochet pattern for the Jayden Mittens below is available in 3 adult sizes. The pattern is worked from the mitten cuff up to the top. Once the main body of the mitten is worked, you will go ahead a work the thumb. It’s such an easy way to work a mitten!

Materials:
Our mitten pattern today is worked using a worsted/medium weight yarn. In the tutorials for all of the patterns I will be using the Wool Ease by Lion Brand. If you would like to substitute this yarn for another you may do so! If you are looking for a 100% acrylic option, I recommend the Lion Brand Heartland yarn. It is sold and comes in a variety of earth and jewel tones.
Along with the yarn you will need a 5 mm crochet hook and a yarn needle for sewing the top and weaving in your ends.
