The Drew Mittens crochet patterns is the perfect accessory to complement your Drew Beanie!

Well, you have made it to the end of the 2024 Wonderful Hats Crochet Along (although, stay tuned! There is a bonus pattern coming next week)! We’ve had such a wonderful time creating beautiful crochet hats, scarves and mittens. We finish off the event today with the Drew Mittens.

(I’ve said it before, but will mention it again – don’t worry if you are a bit behind in working the patterns or only hearing about the crochet along for the first time! All of the crochet patterns featured in this event will remain posted here on Rich Textures Crochet, on YouTube, and in my Etsy and Ravelry shops.)

Making the Drew Mittens:

The crochet pattern for the Drew Mittens below is available in 3 adult sizes. The pattern is worked from the mitten cuff up to the top. Once the main body of the mitten is worked, you will go ahead a work the thumb. It’s such an easy way to work a mitten!

The main pattern in the mitten is comprised of front and back double crochet stitches that look like a miniature version of the basketweave stitch. I love the look in this mitten and they are so cozy!

Materials:

Our mitten pattern today is worked using a worsted/medium weight yarn.  In the tutorials for all of the patterns I will be using the Wool Ease by Lion Brand.  If you would like to substitute this yarn for another you may do so! If you are looking for a 100% acrylic option, I recommend the Lion Brand Heartland yarn. It is sold and comes in a variety of earth and jewel tones.

Along with the yarn you will need a 5 mm crochet hook and a yarn needle for sewing the top and weaving in your ends.

PDF Copies also available:

The Drew Mittens crochet pattern will be written out in full below and it is free to follow on Rich Textures Crochet. If however you wish to add this pattern to your library and purchase an ad free PDF, you can do so from my Etsy and Ravelry Shops linked below:
