I love the ease and simplicity of stitches in this Bay Window Market Bag crochet pattern!

Welcome to week four of the 2023 Marvellous Market Bag Crochet Along! So far this year we have made three other wonderful market bag crochet patterns including the Daisy Market Bag Crochet PatternSummertime Market Bag Crochet Pattern and the On Trend Market Bag Crochet Pattern.  Each bag has show cased a variety of textured crochet stitches and striped colour work.  Our bag this week is no exception!

A blue white and grey stripped crochet market bag

Our Bay Window Market Bag crochet pattern today is worked from the bottom up and all as one piece.  It features a variety of simple and basic crochet stitches including single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet stitches.  The design features rows of crochet mesh that are interspersed between rows of single and double crochet stitches.  You may work the colour stripes in the design as I have, or mix up the colours to suit your personal style.

The Construction:

Our crochet market bag today is worked in rounds from the bottom up.  It is worked as one piece even into the continuous  handles.  I have worked the bag in a 100% cotton yarn called 24/7 Cotton by Lion Brand in three different colours which you can read about below.  As I find even the worsted/medium weight yarn is on the lighter side, I paired it with a 4 mm crochet hook.

PDF Copies are also Available:

The pattern will be written out in full below and will forever remain free when viewed here on Rich Textures Crochet, and the written instruction will be followed by a video tutorial.  However if you would like to add this pattern to your library or purchase an ad free PDF, you may do so from either my Etsy or Ravelry Shop linked below:
