Learn to crochet 20 adorable little critters with this new crochet pattern book by Sarah of Rich Textures Crochet entitled “Crochet Critters to Love: 20 Amigurumi Critter Crochet Patterns.”
One afternoon one of my children came to me asking if I would make them a crochet Jellyfish. It wasn’t the first time they had asked me to make them a crochet critter of sorts, but this time I was looking for something new to crochet and had the yarn on hand so I said, “yes!” Next I was asked to make more for their friends which they began to call their “friendship jellies.”
Once the Jellyfish were all complete I received more requests from my children for other critters which I discovered I really enjoyed making.
Soon I had completed this collection of crochet critters and decided to share their patterns in book format.
Each of the critters are fairly easy to work and crocheted using a plush polyester yarn. In this case I used the popular super bulky weight Bernat Blanket yarn by Yarnspirations, however, you may substitute the yarn for another favourite. Along with the yarn you will need an 8 mm (L/11) crochet hook.
The book contains the written instructions for each of the 20 crochet critters. Each one is unique and full of personality! Along the way I share beautiful colour photos to inspire you in your design and colour choices. Where more challenging instructions are needed, I have added in some photo tutorials.
At the end of the book you will find some helpful charts about crochet stitch abbreviations, yarn weight conversion and US to UK terms conversion charts.
