There is no shortage of texture in this Summertime Market Bag Crochet Pattern! Welcome to week two of the 2023 Marvellous Market Bag Crochet Along!

Our crochet Market bag crochet pattern today features a crochet stitch that you may not see all too often: the loop or fur stitch.  This stitch is unique not only in the way that it is constructed, but also in the fact that whether you choose to leave it as a loop or to cut the loop can leave your with two very different looks.

While I have seen the loops kept as loops in a few different patterns, for the bag today I decided to cut them in order to make more of a fringe look.  The texture in the Summertime Market Bag is so much fun!

  1. Hi Sarah! I’m working on the Daisy market bag, actually in red, white and blue. But I wanted to say how excited I am that you are using the loop stitch. I made an afghan using this and it was so much fun! Now when I’m done with the Week 1 bag I will HAVE to make this one.

  2. Hello Sarah! I love the Crochet Alongs! For the fringe on the Summertime market Bag, does it unravel when the bag is washed?
