This Climbing Shell crochet stitch pattern is so pretty featuring little shells and post stitches.
The result is rows of beautiful texture that would work well in almost any crochet project. All of the texture however is to the front side. The back side is fairly plain but mostly solid. I have worked the stitch in two different colours, but you may also wish to try it in a solid colour or more than just the two.
The Materials:
For this tutorial today I will be using a small amount of cotton yarn. This yarn is a worsted weight yarn called Pima Cotton by Lion Brand Yarn. I will also be using a 5 mm crochet hook. The hook you will see me using in the video tutorial below is a Wooden Streamline Hook by Furls Crochet.
Thank you so much for stopping by! If you enjoy learning new crochet stitches, you will find many more in the “Crochet Stitches” category here on Rich Textures Crochet, or you may wish to check out the Seashell Stitch. I update this website with a new crochet stitch every week!

Notes:
This stitch is worked in rows in this tutorial and it may be worked in one colour or many. I will be working this pattern in two colours: Colour A and colour B.
To begin make a slip knot and make a foundation chain. For this stitch you will need a multiple of six chains plus five (6+5) for your foundation chain.
For example, with colour A, ch 35.
Row One:
Dc in the 4th ch from your hook, dc in the next st, *dc2tog over the next 3 sts inserting your hook in the 1st and 3rd sts, dc in each of the next 3 sts; Rpt from * across, ch 1 turn.
Row Two:
Hdc in the 1st st, fpdc in each of the next 2 sts, *3 dc working under the next dc2tog, fpdc in each of the next 3 sts; Rpt from * across to the final 3 sts, fpdc in each of the next 2 sts, hdc in the top of your turning ch. Switch to colour B, ch 3, turn.
Row Three:
With colour B, dc in each of the next 2 sts, *dc2tog over the next 3 sts inserting your hook in the 1st and 3 sts, dc in each of the next 3 sts; Rpt from * across, ch 1, turn.
Row Four:
Hdc in the 1st st, fpdc in each of the next 2 sts, *3 dc working under the next dc2tog, fpdc in each of the next 3 sts; Rpt from * across to the final 3 sts, fpdc in each of the next 2 sts, hdc in the top of your turning ch. Switch to colour A, ch 3, turn.
Row Five:
With colour A, dc in each of the next 2 sts, *dc2tog over the next 3 sts inserting your hook in the 1st and 3 sts, dc in each of the next 3 sts; Rpt from * across, ch 1, turn.
And that’s it!
For the rest of the pattern simply repeat rows 2-5 row as long as desired. Fasten off, weave in your ends.
of course like your website but you have to check the spelling on several of your posts A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I in finding it very troublesome to inform the reality on the other hand I will certainly come back again
