The Lakeside Beanie is a lightweight crochet hat design that features the Nesting V Stitch!

After getting the hang of the Nesting V stitch this past year, I fell in love with it! I quickly designed a blanket with it in order to gift to a family member that was expecting a baby this past summer.  And then I set my sights on designing a beanie with it.  As I like to work my beanie from the bottom up, I knew the top decreases would be a challenge, but it was so worth it!

A Crochet Hat featuring three different shades of blue yarn

I love the colours in this beanie! I chose to work the beanie in a light DK weight yarn called Felted Tweed by Rowan Yarns.  I love the earthy and natural tones in this line of yarn and these blues fit so well together! They defiantly give me a lakeside vibe.

The hat is worked from the brim up and is fairly snug fitting with little slouch.  I chose not to add a pompom to my beanie, however you may certainly do so if you wish!
