The Oceans Cup Cozy is a very easy crochet cup cozy pattern to work. You will love making them for your family and friends.
I am always looking for little projects to work on when I need to take a break from a larger project. I also like to have a few favourite small projects to work on when I want to use up small amounts of left over yarn. These cute cup cozies are perfect for these reasons!
The Oceans Cup Cozy is worked from the bottom up and they are seamless. There are no increase rounds, which means once you know the stitch pattern you are all set! I have worked a simple edging around the top and bottom to help taper the stretch that often comes with the territory when working with cotton yarn. The cup cozy is primarily worked in the Braided Knit Stitch which is what gives the pattern its wavy look. I really love this stitch!
These cup cozies are made with a 100% cotton yarn. Cotton yarn is really the best to use when making projects that require insulation from heat. You won’t need much of the cotton yarn to complete the cup cozy, so feel free to grab the yarn scraps from your last project!
I have left mine plain to really showcase the stitches and their wave design. But you may wish to add a button, charm or your own tag, especially if you are making these to sell at an upcoming craft sale.
