The Captivated Bookmark crochet pattern is a great way to mark your place in your next captivating read!

This crochet bookmark is a great small project for playing with colour. The spike stitch design creates a really unique, fun and interesting look almost like feathers. Sometimes this particular pattern is even called an “eyelash” pattern due to is shape. This is the same stitch pattern that I used in my Cozy Baby Blanket that is worked in a super bulky weight yarn and in my Winter Frost Headband and Cowl.

Today we will work this stitch pattern in a lighter weight yarn called Paton’s Grace by Yarnspirations. It is a favourite yarn for me for bookmarks due to its sheen and wide range of colour. Colour will play a large part in this bookmark!

The Captivated Crochet Bookmark

The bookmark is fairly easy to work. I have worked it in three different colours which really helps the spike stitches stand out. However, if you choose you may work it in more or less. After each colour change I did fasten off and weave in the ends. You may also carry the colours up the sides of the bookmark, it will simply mean that you need to crochet over it when it comes to the edging. I look forward to seeing your version of it!
