This Round About Cup cozy is a great crochet pattern for beginners! It uses the easy spiral method for making rounds.
This means that there is no joining at the ends of your rounds, nor is there a seam! All you will need is a stitch marker. You will use the stitch marker in order to mark the first stitch.
I love this cup cozy! The pattern is easy to adapt to any size coffee mug. The one I’ve done here fits my ceramic coffee mug perfectly. In the photos I have not dressed the pattern up too much, but when finished, you may add a tag or button as an accent.

Crochet Cup Cozies are a great item to add to a card or a gift for a family member or friend. They make great end of year teacher gifts or make up a bunch and sell them at a local craft sale.
Materials:
As for the materials, you can use any brand of a worsted/medium weight crochet cotton. I am using the Bernat Handicrafter Cotton by Yarnspirations.
You will also need a 5mm crochet hook. I am using a wooden streamline hook in Ebony by Furls Crochet.
