Are you looking for something to show off some Canadian spirit? Why not try this handy Maple Leaf pot holder/wash cloth – Now a free crochet pattern!
As a Canadian, it is always nice to have something Canadian themed lying around my home. During the warmer summer months I’m not always excited to be working on larger projects, or even winter accessories. This pot holder is something I can get excited about, especially as Canada Day approaches and I am thinking about hosting parties and backyard BBQ’s!
This pot holder is worked in two pieces that are crocheted together in the end. The result is a double thick pot holder. I crocheted it with a cotton yarn which I would recommend for this project as cotton yarns with stand the heat better than an acrylic.
To make the wash cloth, simply only work the one maple leaf side and edging.
This pattern works well with my Our Canada Tote Bag! You’ll find the free pattern for it here: “Our Canada” Tote Bag – A Free Crochet Pattern.
