If you are looking for an easy, summer crochet pattern, the Summer Soap Saver Crochet Pattern may be the right one for you!
I don’t know about you, but something about all natural, fresh, handmade artisan soaps has me thinking about summer! Maybe it’s the abundance of them at the local farmer’s markets, or their beautiful fresh scents.
If you use these artisan soaps at home or love to give them as gifts, you may wish to have a few crochet soap savers on hand. They make it easy to hang the soap to dry, are exfoliating, look pretty, and help to keep them just a little bit longer.

This Summer Soap Saver is light and lacy and it can be made in an afternoon! It requires a little bit of cotton yarn. I use the 24/7 Cotton yarn by Lion Brand along with a 4 mm crochet hook. It is made all as one piece in a round from the bottom to the top. At the top I have added a drawstring to make it easier to insert the bar of soap and then hang.

Can I make a suggestion? I make handmade soap and this is lovely however the bottom needs to be more airy as the soap will sit in the bottom and get mushy. The whole pattern can be made out of the upper openness which will allow soap to dry. I am going to try that.
Love your summer soap saver….my question is : 40 stitches are from bottom to the end, is that right? Got confusing with a slip stitch, then chain…ended up with xtra stitches. Tks,
