Welcome to week three of the Wonderful Hats Crochet Along! Today we will learn to crochet the beautifully textured Ainsley Beanie.

The Ainsley Beanie is the third crochet beanie in this years Wonderful Hats Crochet Along.  Each Beanie also has a coordinating scarf! Week one was the Windermere Beanie Crochet Pattern followed by the Adelaide Beanie Crochet Pattern in week two.  Each of the hat and scarf sets the year focus on texture and you will find lots of it in our hat this week.

A textured crochet beanie worked in blue yarn.

Our crochet hat today is worked from the brim up and it features a wonderful texture that is created by working front and back post double crochet stitches.  There are lots of wonderful and popular stitch patterns  that are created in this way such as the basket weave and Celtic weave.  The pattern created today resembles more of a chain link or interlocking brick.  I really love how it turned out and am sure you will also enjoy it!
