I love a lacy and elegant shawl and the Meadows Shawl is simply that!

The Meadows Shawl is a rectangular shawl pattern.  It is worked in rows lengthwise using easy crochet stitches.

I have worked the design in a beautiful gradient yarn cake by Panda Yarns in the colour Wanderer.  I love these greens! And as I was working on it I couldn’t help but think the colour reminded me of a fresh, grassy meadow.

A lacy green crochet rectangular shawl

The stitches used to make this shawl include all of your basic crochet stitches such as the single and double crochet stitches.  This makes it a great project for a beginner and one that is soothing to work.  It would make a a lovely gift for a friend or as a comfort or prayer shawl.

The Yarn:

In this design I have used gradient and reverse gradient cakes by Panda Yarns.  The Gradient Cakes by Panda Yarns are 100% cotton.  They are plied yarn which means that there are multiple strands held together and not wound (there is no twist in the yarn).  Because of this, working with the yarn does take a bit to get used to so that it does not split when you insert your hook. The colour changes are subtle and beautiful!
