Add a little country charm to your home with this quick and easy coaster pattern!
My kids all know that I LOVE my coffee. Setting the coffee maker is often the first thing I do in the morning. Come evening, as I settle in with my crochet or a good book I will often sip a cup of tea – so coasters are a nice little practical accent piece to my side and end tables!
With their spiral texture and corded edging, they remind me of tree stumps (especially when working up in this variegated brown, green and blue)!
These coasters were designed with scrap yarn in mind. There is always that lingering question, “How can I use up my left over bits of yarn?” Well, each of these coasters only requires about 24 yards, so they make a great candidate!
They are also quick to make up meaning they are a great last minute gift idea, or item for a craft sale.
To help you get the hang of crocheting in the third loop (did you know about the “3rd loop”?) and the reverse single crochet stitch, I have provided a full video tutorial which you will find at the conclusion of this pattern.
As always, you will also find this pattern in my Ravelry and Etsy shops should you wish to save it to your library or purchase the convenient PDF. You will find those direct links below which will open in a new window:
