Why not give a gift that keeps on giving with this reusable gift bag crochet pattern? It is easy to work up and sturdy enough to use all year round!

Not only does a handmade reusable gift bag add a personal touch to any gift, but it also cuts down on disposable wrapping paper and can be used again and again.  I’ve deigned the bag to be quite sturdy which means it can also be taken to the market!

The Construction:

This bag is made by working five easy separate pieces.  These pieces are then crocheted together in the end.  After the pieces are seamed together you will work the top and handles of the bag.  All of this is explained in the video tutorial below.

The front and the back of the bag feature a fun stripe pattern that can be customized.  Make it in multiple colours and use up some yarn scraps!’

The Materials:

For this pattern I have used a 100% cotton yarn called Dishie by WeCrochet.  And I would like to give a huge thanks to them for providing the yarn for this project.  You will need two different colours to work it as I have here and two balls of each.

You will also need a 5 mm crochet hook.

I am part of the winter wonders blog hop and would love to get a copy of your pattern, but the coupon code doesn’t seem to work. Actually, it’s not the code itself but the place where you input the code that isn’t working correctly.

    1. RichTexturesCrochet says:

Hello, I’m not sure why the code may not be working for you – at the moment Ravelry seems to be working fine. I would make sure you’re trying from your browser and from my Ravelry shop.

I responded earlier to say it still isn’t working, but I finally figured it out. Thank you!

        Oh wonderful! Perfect!!

Thank you for responding. I’m not sure what is going on. It still isn’t working for me. I connect to your page via the blog hop website, then I click to your Ravelry via the link on your page. I don’t think it is necessarily something wrong with your page, for some reason the spot where you input the coupon code looks different today, and it isn’t allowing me to enter anything at all. Thanks again for trying.
