If you are looking for a  crochet stitch pattern with lots of texture, but with a lace appeal, this Lacy Bobble Stitch might be perfect for you!

The Lacy Bobble Stitch features a bobble stitch texture that is all to the front side.  Unlike other patterns for the bobble stitch where the fabric is solid in back, this one is quite lacy.  The lace look is created by double crochet and chain stitches.  This fabric has a lot of drape.  It would work well in a variety of yarn weights and in projects including crochet tops, blankets, bags and shawls.  Enjoy!

The Materials:

For this tutorial today I will be using a small amount of Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in one colour. It is a worsted weight, 100% cotton yarn. The hook shown in the video below is a 5 mm birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarns.  However you may use any hook and yarn combination you choose, even experiment with stripes of colour!
