The Ripple Cable Stitch crochet pattern features a solid cable in a ripple or chevron design that run across the top of your fabric.

Similar to other cable stitches, such as the Rope Cable | How to Crochet, the texture in this design is all featured on the one side with a solid back.  This stitch is not too tight, giving it a bit of drape.  It would work well in a variety of projects and, although I have worked it here only in one colour, you may wish to switch up the colours a bit! The stitches are fairly straight forward and once you get the cable design set up, it is fairly easy to work.  Of course, please check out the full video tutorial below, it is sure to provide further inside if needed.

The ripple cable crochet stitch worked in a green coloured yarn

The Materials:

For this tutorial today I will be using a small amount of Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in one colour. It is a worsted weight, 100% cotton yarn. The hook shown in the video below is a 5 mm birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarns.  However you may use any hook and yarn combination you choose, even experiment with stripes of colour!

Thank you so much for stopping by! If you enjoy the tutorial below, be sure to also check out some of the many other crochet stitch tutorials on my site, such as the Clover Stitch | How to Crochet and pin this one for later!
