The Glenwood Crochet Scarf is a cozy looking scarf featuring plush cone stitches and single crochet stitches.

This crochet scarf is very easy to work and also very easy to customize.  You may change the length or the width, work it as a solid colour (as I will) or in multiple colours.  It’s really up to you!

Glenwood Scarf Crochet Pattern:

Skill Level: Intermediate

Gauge: 17 sts x 16 rows of sc = 4 inches

Finished Size: 7 x 67.5 inches excluding fringe

Yarn: Impeccable by Loops & Threads ® (100% acrylic; 285 yds/260 m; 4.5oz/127.5 g; (4) Medium/worsted weight): 2.5 balls per scarf (including fringe).

Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge

Stitches and Abbreviations:

Ch – Chain

Cone St – Cone Stitch (yarn over and insert your hook into the next st, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and insert your hook in the space under the same st, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through all five loops).
Dc – Double Crochet
Rpt – Repeat
Sc – Single Crochet
Sk – Skip
Sl St – Slip Stitch
Yo – Yarn Over

Pattern Notes:

  • Pattern is written in American English terms.
  • Pattern is worked in rows.
  • Ch 1 at beginning of row does not count as stitch.
  • Turn at the end of each row.
  • Weave in ends as needed.
  • OPTIONAL: Add fringe to ends if desired.

Free Crochet Pattern:

Ch 30

Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.  Ch 1, turn.  (29 sts)

Row 2: Sc in the 1st st and in each st across.  Ch 1, turn. 

Row 3: Cone st (See “Stitches and Abbreviations” above) in the 1st st and in each st across.  Ch 1, turn. 

Rows 4-5: Sc in the 1st st and in each st across.  Ch 1, turn.

Rows 6 onward: Repeat rows 3 – 5 until your work reaches approximately 67 inches ending with a row 4.

Fasten off, weave in your ends.  Add a fringe to the ends if desired.
