The Daydreamer Throw shows off its colours! It is a simple repeat pattern that has a beautiful drape and texture.

The strength of this blanket pattern is in its colours – and the colour possibilities are endless.  I have worked and named this throw after the colour palette that it is worked in.

The Materials:

For the blanket I have used a 100% acrylic yarn by Furls Crochet called Wander.  They have conveniently sorted their colours out into palettes and the particular colours I have chosen are from the Daydreamer palette.

The Construction:

The pattern itself is worked almost entirely in herringbone half double crochet stitches.  The herringbone half double crochet is a fun variation of the hat double crochet stitch.  It has a beautiful knit like appearance and, when worked in a blanket, has beautiful texture and drape.

Each colour block consists of 19 rows of the herringbone stitches and is worked in a 5mm crochet hook.  In the video you will see me using a Wooden Streamline hook in Ebony, also by Furls Crochet.
