This Cluster Moss Stitch crochet pattern is a fun adaptation of the favourite moss or granite stitch pattern.

The moss stitch pattern (sometimes called the Granite stitch) is a favourite crochet stitch for many people. It is worked with basic single crochet and chain stitches.

This new Cluster Moss Stitch crochet pattern takes the moss stitch and adds in simple clusters every second row to give the design more depth and texture.

I absolutely love the results! It reminds me a little of the even moss stitch however, in this case, the texture runs vertically along the fabric instead of horizontally.

I would use this stitch pattern in a variety of projects, anything from blankets to lightweight crochet tops. The fabric has a beautiful texture, but it is not too dense.

The Materials:

For this tutorial today, I will be using a small amount of Heatherly by KnitPicks and WeCrochet in a single colour. It is a medium/worsted weight yarn that is a wool blend. Along with my worsted weight yarn, I will also be working with a 5 mm (H/8) crochet hook.
