Adorn your favourite mug with this adjustable Suzette Mug Cozy crochet pattern worked in the popular Suzette crochet stitch.

I love a cup of coffee in the morning and a cup of tea in the afternoon! And, when at home, I usually like to enjoy them in one of my favourite mugs. The particular mug in the photo below was a gift from my husband. I was excited to crochet a comfortable mug cozy!

The Suzette Mug Cozy crochet pattern is fairly easy to work and worked using a fairly popular crochet stitch: the Suzette Stitch. It’s easy to see why this stitch is so popular: it’s easy to work and the pattern creates a beautiful design.

The construction of the mug cozy is quite simple. You will begin by working the main part of the cozy in rows. Once complete you will work the button flap with the button hole. To finish off you will work a simple edging and attach your button in the appropriate place.

How do I adjust the size of my mug cozy?

In the Suzette Mug Cozy crochet pattern below, I will provide two sizes, for a 12 oz mug and a 16 oz mug.

To adjust the size of your mug cozy further, you may begin by working an even number of chains for your foundation chain. This will fit the circumference of your mug. You will then work to the desired height for your mug.

Adjust the thickness of the button flap by working an odd number of single crochet along the side before proceeding. And then, after working your edging, you will adjust the position of the button as needed.

Enjoy!
