Crochet scrubbies, like this Sea Urchin Scrubby crochet pattern, never go out of style!
And they are one of my favourite things to make while I’m in the midst of working on a larger project, or when I need to make a gift in a snap.
The Sea Urchin Scrubby crochet pattern is one of many crochet scrubby patterns here on Rich Textures Crochet including the Sand Dollar Scrubby and the Thermal Scrubby. This scrubby is worked using a strand of the Red Heart Scrubby yarn and a strand of cotton yarn held together. One of my favourite worsted weight cotton yarns is the Pima Cotton by Lion Brand Yarn. I find that working the scrubby yarn alongside a cotton yarn makes it just a little easier to work with.

The other advantage to working with the two yarns alongside one another is that it creates a washcloth that has that scrubby texture, but that is also absorbent and holds water making it easier to clean a variety of surfaces.
Our Sea Urchin Scrubby crochet pattern today has a lot of texture to it! It is round in shape and as the bottom curls, it creates a hollow inside that makes it quite comfortable to hold while using. It’s going to be quite for you to work up making it easy to work multiples to give to family, friends and coworkers or to make as a sale item at a craft fair.
