The On Trend Zipped Bag crochet pattern is a beautifully textured pouch featuring the popular feather crochet stitch.
I do love the feather crochet stitch. It is thick, solid and features a beautiful, unique looking design that resembles feathers. I have used this crochet stitch pattern in a number of other crochet projects aside from the On Trend Market Bag such as the Feathers Beanie and Ear Warmer. It’s such a wonderful stitch!
The On Trend Zippered Bag crochet pattern is worked from the bottom up and it is fully lined with a zipper. The lining and zipper is so easy! All you will need is a canvas zippered pouch that you can find at your local craft store or online. I purchased mine from my local Michaels craft store. The crochet portion of the bag is then worked and you will slide the zippered pouch into it when complete and then sew to glue around the top to secure it.
To match the thread, I simply took some of the crochet cotton I was using and separated the fibres. I then used that thread to sew around the top just below the zipper. It turned out amazing and was so easy! The result is a crochet lined zippered bag that looks as though you could have purchased it from any boutique.
