You will love the texture in the Cobblestone Beanie Crochet Pattern which includes beautiful single crochet puff stitches.
I really feel like the little single crochet puff stitches look like cobblestone which is why I have given this beanie its name. The single crochet puff stitch is surprisingly easy to work. It also has a fairly easy rhythm once you get going.
The Construction:
The Cobblestone Beanie crochet pattern is worked from the brim up. I have worked a slip stitch brim, but if you would like to substitute the slip stitches for single crochet or half double crochet stitches, you may do so. You may work this beanie all in one colour as I have below, or in multiple. The pompom at the top is optional as this hat also looks great without!
The Materials:
For my hat today I have used the Wool Ease yarn by Lion Brand Yarn. It is a wool blended yarn that is medium/worsted weight. You are welcome to switch the yarn for another worsted weight, just be sure to check your gauge as it will affect the outcome of the size of your hat.
Along with the yarn, I will be using a 5 mm crochet hook. You will see me working with a Birchwood hook by Knit Rowan in the video tutorial below.
