The Lucky Stripes Market Bag Crochet Pattern is an easy market bag pattern.  The design is lacy but with solid rounds of single crochet which give it a lot of stability.

I love this easy blossom design.  The cluster stitch resemble little shamrocks which is what gives the stitch its name “lucky.”  Once you get the hang of the cluster stitches the pattern flows fairly smoothly and worked up quickly.

This is week three of the Marvellous Market bag Crochet along! If you are new to the crochet along, you will wish to check out the previous market bag patterns and stay tuned for the final one next week.  Last week we made the beautifully textured Traveller Market Bag Crochet Pattern.

A Crochet Market bag worked in rose coloured yarn

Materials for this Tutorial:

For this tutorial today I will be using some Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in one colour.  You may wish to add more!  I will give you the colour details and amounts with the written pattern below. It is a worsted weight 100% cotton yarn. I highly recommend using cotton for your market bags.  It is easy to wash and hold up well to wear and tear! The hook shown in the video below is a 5 mm birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarns.  However you may use any hook and yarn combination you choose.
