This Little Rocks Crochet Stitch Pattern features a unique texture that is a wonderful one row repeat!

The one row repeat means that, once you get the pattern set up, it’s so easy to work and achieve the beautiful texture! The texture in this stitch pattern is the same on both sides.  It has some texture and weight to it while maintaining lots of drape.  I could see it being used in a number of projects including blankets, shawls, cardigans and more!

A swatch of the Little Rocks Crochet Stitch worked in a grey yarn

This Little Rocks Crochet Stitch pattern is unique! It is made up of single crochet stitches, chain stitches and puff stitches.  But where the single crochet stitch is placed really makes this stitch stand out.  It changes the shape and look of the puff stitch and also gives it a little bit more of a 3D look.  The other unique aspect of this crochet stitch is the way that you will being.  You will not work a traditional foundation chain, but will start with some long double crochet clusters. You will see what I mean in the written and video tutorials below!

The Materials:

For this tutorial today I will be using a small amount of Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in one colour. It is a worsted weight, 100% cotton yarn. The hook shown in the video below is a 5 mm birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarns.  However you may use any hook and yarn combination you choose, even experiment with stripes of colour!

Thank you so much for stopping by! If you enjoy the tutorial below, be sure to also check out some of the many other crochet stitch tutorials on my site, such as the Ocean Swell Stitch | How to Crochet and pin this one for later!

And that’s it!

For the rest of the patter you are going to simply repeat row two.  Fasten off, weave in your ends.
