The Baby Puff Stitch crochet pattern features a lovely texture that is consistent throughout making it a perfect choice for almost any project!
The Baby Puff Stitch crochet pattern is fairly simple being only a two-row repeat. You will work one row of single crochet stitches followed by one row of your little puff stitches.
This is a great stitch if you are looking to add a solid texture to a project that is not too dense. It’s going to work well in almost any fibre and yarn weight.
You will see me working the pattern in a solid colour below, however you may mix it up and work it with multiple.

The Materials:
For this tutorial today, I will be using a small amount of Heatherly by KnitPicks and WeCrochet in a single colour. You are also able to work this stitch in a single colour or more. The Heatherly yarn is a medium/worsted weight yarn that is a wool blend. Along with my worsted weight yarn, I will also be working with a 5 mm (H/8) crochet hook.

Pattern Notes:
This stitch is worked in rows in this tutorial and it may be worked in one colour or many. I will be working this pattern in a single colour.
This pattern is written in American crochet terms.
The turning ch does not count as a stitch.
To begin, make a slip knot and make a foundation chain. For this stitch pattern, you will need a foundation chain with a multiple of 2 stitches (even number).
For example, ch 30.
Row One:
Sc in the 2nd ch from your hook and in each st across. Ch 1, turn.
Row Two:
Sc in the 1st st, *puff in the next, sc in the next st; Rpt from * across. Ch 1, turn.
Row Three:
Sc in the 1st st and in each st across. Ch 1, turn.
And that’s it!
For the rest of the pattern, simply repeat rows 2 and 3. Fasten off, weave in your ends.
