If you’re looking for a really great texture for a crochet dishcloth, you will find it in the Jackpot Dishcloth Crochet Pattern!
I’ve said it before, but crocheting dishcloths is a great way to try out new textures and stitches. I decided to try out one of my more recent stitch tutorials for the Jackpot Stitch in a dishcloth and fell in love with the results.
The Jackpot Stitch pattern is a wonderfully varied stitch pattern with crossed stitches and half-double crochet v-stitches. It is a beautiful design that is similar on both sides and easy to work. To add a little extra texture to the washcloth, I’ve added some front and back post double crochet stitches to the edging. they also give the cloth a little more tough scrubbing power. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

What Materials will you need to crochet this dishcloth?
Today, in my photos and the free video tutorial below, I will use the Pima Cotton by Lion Brand Yarn to make the Bramble Dishcloth crochet pattern. It is a wonderfully soft cotton yarn. For the dishcloth, you will need about 100 yards of a 100% cotton yarn.
I will also be using a 5 mm (H/8) crochet hook. In the video below you will see me using one of my favourites: A Birchwood hook by Rowan Yarns.

I wrote a book!
