You will love the beautiful texture of crossed stitches and double crochet stitches in this beautiful Dragon Scarf Crochet Pattern.
February in Canada and many other parts of the world mean cold, wind, snow and ice! During these dark, cold winter days, a beautiful, cozy scarf is often a must.
I suppose this is why I enjoy making crochet scarves so much. That, and also the fact that they are a practical way to show off beautiful stitches!
The stitch featured in our crochet scarf today is called the Jackpot Stitch. I introduced this scarf on my channels not too long ago and fell in love with it. I even have a dishcloth coming out in the stitch pattern in the near future!

The construction of the Dragon Scarf is simple. It is worked from the shorter end and you will start by working some double crochet ribbing. The scarf is then worked entirely in the Jackpot Stitch until the opposite end where you will finish off with some more double crochet ribbing. It’s that easy!
The Materials:
I have mentioned that to work this scarf I used an acrylic yarn called Mandala by Lion Brand. In the photos and video tutorial below, I used the colour Dragon (hence the name!), which is a beautiful blend of blues, greens and browns. You will need about 1.5 of the cakes or about 700 yards of this lightweight (#3) yarn.
Along with the yarn you will need a 5 mm (H/8) crochet hook. In the video tutorial below, I will be using a Birchwood crochet hook by Rowan. It’s one of my favourites!

I have made several of your hats and looking forward to make this scarf. At the end of row 1, are we suppose to chain 2? It says chain 21.
Love this scarf. Do you have a hat pattern to go with it it?
At the moment I do not, but I can see what I can do for future!
