The Christmas Traditions ornament celebrates our family holiday traditions! It is a wonderful way to use up light weight yarn scraps in the holiday season.

This easy Christmas Ornament is a great scrap busting project that can be worked in one hour or less.  The ornaments would look wonderful hanging on a tree, in a window or even as a gift topper for the gifts that you will be giving this year.  I look forward to making them as gifts for my children’s teachers.

a crochet Christmas Ornament

The Christmas ornament is a crochet granny circle that is then attached to a 4 inch metal ring in the final round.  For the project I have used a light weight yarn called Truboo yarn by Lion Brand.  I have used three different colours in my ornament, although you may work yours in more or less!

I have also used a 4 mm crochet hook.

Feel free to check out the free video tutorial following the free pattern below.  There I will show you how I crocheted the granny circle onto the metal ring!

      You’re welcome! Enjoy 🙂

  2. Can this be made without the ring? Would it work if I wanted to just starch/open it when finished?
    Thanks
