This unique crochet spinner ornament would look beautiful hanging on your mantle or Christmas tree! Or even add it to the top of a gift to dress it up a bit.
It seems that crochet spinners are all the rage at the moment. And I must confess, when I saw them popping up in my social media feeds I immediately thought how beautiful a miniature version would look hanging on our Christmas tree this year.
This Boho Spinner Ornament is quick to make – worked in only four rows – and it is super easy. Because it only uses a small amount of yarn, it is a great scrap yarn project. You can make one in less than one hour!

I look forward to making them for my friends and family this year. They would also work well as a craft sale item!
The Materials:
For this ornament I used a little bit of a light weight yarn. In the ones shown I used the Truboo yarn by Lion Brand. You will need two colours – although you may work yours in more or less!
I have also used a 4 mm crochet hook and added a few beads to the bottom of mine just before the tassel.
Feel free to check out the free video tutorial following the free pattern below. There I will show you how I added my beads and tassel to the bottom.

Fasten off and weave in your ends. Attach Hanger, beads and tassels if desired as follows:
For Tassel and Beads:
Cut a 20 inch length of your colour A. Using your yarn needle, thread the yarn beginning at the top, down through the centre and out through the bottom of the spinner. Leaving a longish loop, thread the needle and yarn back up through the bottom up to the top of the spinner.
Over the loop left at the bottom, thread your beads through. For tassel, cut 10 lengths of yarn approximately 10 inches long. Thread them all through the loop at the bottom of the spinner folding them over in half. Pull the threads at the top of the spinner to tighten the loop around the tassel threads. Using another piece of yarn, wrap it around the top of the tassel and tie in place. Trim the tassel to the desired length.
At the top of the spinner, spread the spiral spinner out to the desired length and then tie a knot at the top of the spinner at the base of the loose threads. Then tie a knot at the top of the loose threads to create your hanger. Enjoy!
