The Belfast Beanie crochet pattern is a crochet hat that can be worked in only a couple of hours!

It makes a great project if you are looking for something that is cozy and quick! This crochet beanie is worked in a super bulky weight yarn and it uses basic half double crochet stitches (with a twist!) which is why it is so fast (and easy!) to work.  The half double crochet stitches reworked alternating the front and back loops of the stitch below which gets it its unique texture and look.  This stitch pattern is called the Tide Pool Stitch | How to Crochet.

The Belfast Beanie Crochet Pattern is worked from the bottom up.  It features a simple crochet brim of single crochet stitches.  The hat is suitable for men and women and down below in the pattern instructions I will give the multiples for the design should you decide to adjust the size.

Is each front loop half double always on top of the previous row’s back loop half double crochet? I’m asking if I got confused, is there a way to see where the stitches go?
