If your heading uptown this holiday season, you will want to be sure to take your Uptown Crochet Market Bag with you!

Welcome to week three of the Fall Marvellous Market Bag crochet along! Our third crochet market bag is called the Uptown Market bag.  It features a wonderful variety of textured crochet stitches.  As it is worked in the same way as the previous two bags, from the bottom up and all as one piece, it is quick to work!

A blue and white stripped crochet market bag featuring bobble stitches

The texture that you see in the bag is made by working rounds of bobble stitches, half double crochet stitches worked in the 3rd loop, and double crochet mesh.  It is a fun design to work (who doesn’t love bobbles?) and you will be surprised how quickly it works up.  Make one for yourself, your family and your friends.

The Materials:

I have worked the bag using two different colours of a worsted weight 100% cotton yarn.  I invite you to switch up the colours as you are inspired.  In the video tutorial below you will also see me using a 5mm Birchwood Crochet Hook by Rowan Yarns.
