The Little Shells Crochet Stitch is a pretty stitch with a lacy look but near solid fabric.  It would work well in so many different projects!

I love the look of this stitch.  Although it is worked very differently, it reminds me of the Suzette Stitch when it comes to texture.  The stitch pattern for the Little Shells Stitch is surprisingly very easy to work.  It is a two row repeat and worked using basic stitches such as a single crochet and double crochet.  While it would work wonderfully in a wearable such as a cardigan or shawl, it would also look amazing as a lacy baby blanket.

The Materials:

For this tutorial today I will be using a small amount of Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in one colour. It is a worsted weight, 100% cotton yarn. The hook shown in the video below is a 5 mm birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarns.  However you may use any hook and yarn combination you choose, even experiment with stripes of colour!
