The Feathers Crochet Set including the beanie, ear warmer and cowl.

The Construction:

Isn’t the set pretty? The feather stitch is a fun stitch to work once you get the hang of it.  It is comprised of clusters of puff stitches and they are so cozy! The cowl pattern is worked in one piece in a round.  You will have to turn your work at the end of each feather stitch round however to ensure that the stitches lie in their proper direction.

The Materials:

The yarn shown in the photos above is called Scarfie by Lion Brand Yarn. It is an acrylic/wool blended yarn that is a bulky weight.  I love how cozy it looks and it’s gradually changing colours.  For the ear warmer you will need about one ball.  For this pattern you will also need a 6.5 mm crochet hook.  In the video tutorial below you will see me working with a Wooden Streamline crochet hook by Furls Crochet.
