A copper and off white coloured striped crochet scarf

The Arden Scarf, like the beanie, is an easy pattern to work.  It features mostly basic crochet stitches (with some front and back post double crochet stitches thrown in at the start and end!) and is worked all as one piece.

Instead of working a fringe, I opted for working a front and back post double crochet ribbing.  It gives the scarf a neat appearance and a spot of texture!

The scarf also features a small amount of colour work.  Instead of fastening off at the end of each colour row however, you will carefully carry the yarn up the side.  Be sure to check out the free video tutorial below for tips on how to carry the colour so that it is hidden in your stitches as you work.

Materials:

As it was for the Arden Beanie, I will be working with two different colours of a worsted weight yarn.  In the photos and in the video tutorial I am using the Color Theory Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn.  It is super soft and 100% acrylic.  You will need one ball each for your colour A and for your colour B.

For this pattern you will also need a 4.5 mm crochet hook.  In the video tutorial below I will be using a Birchwood Hook by Rowan Yarns.
