Little Hearts Bookmark | Free Crochet Pattern

Are you looking for a small token or gift to add to your Valentine’s Day card? Why not a Little Hearts Crochet Bookmark?

Once you get the hang of colour changes, these little hearts bookmarks are so simple to make and work up within an hour!

When I designed them I had them in mind for little additions to Valentine’s Cards but I think that they would make a great addition to any gift where you wanted to spread a little love.

Patons Grace Yarn:

The yarn used in this project is a lightweight yarn (look for that #3 on the label).  I have used Patons Grace which is a mercerized 100% cotton.  You can find out more about this yarn and purchase it from the Yarnspirations website here.   I have paired it with a 3.5 mm hook.

Bookmark Construction:

I love making crochet bookmarks! This one is made with rows of single crochet stitches.  You will use a colour changing technique to create the heart design within them.  Once you are done the body of the bookmark you will add a simple row of single crochet stitches to each end and your crochet bookmark will be complete.  I invite you to play with the colours a little bit! Patons Grace comes in so many colours there is no end to the colour possibilities.  You may also use another favourite light weight yarn of your choice.

Following the written pattern I will provide a full video tutorial as well as colour chart to help you along your way.  Just scroll down to the bottom!
