Scarves and Cowls

Twisted Cowl Crochet Pattern

I love infinity cowls.  They are so easy to wear! So continuing on with my run on patterns using the Landscapes yarn by Lion Brand Yarn, I bring you the Twisted Cowl Crochet pattern.

I have really been loving this yarn lately.  Even though I had never worked with it before I picked a bunch of it up after coming upon a sale that I couldn’t refuse.  And I’m so glad that I didn’t! The Landscapes yarn is very soft, 100% acrylic, self stripping and comes in a variety of vibrant colours.

Landscapes Yarn by Lion Brand:

Is the Landscapes Yarn new to you? Check out this Live Yarn Review I’ve posted on my YouTube Channel:

The first pattern I designed using this yarn was the Rachel Beanie (you can find it here: Rachel Beanie – Free Crochet Pattern!) and it was followed closely by the Rachel Scarf (Found here: Rachel Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern).  They both featured a stitch called the “seed stitch.”  I think they just turned out gorgeous!

The Infinity Cowl:

Next I decided to try my hand at an infinity cowl featuring another favourite stitch of mine: the twisted stitch.  When it is worked in a solid fabric it creates a beautiful texture and gives your project almost a woven look.  The results with the Landscapes yarn are stunning! I would be tempted to try it with other worsted weight self stripping yarn also.

This pattern is worked in a round, however after each round you are going to turn your work.  The texture is created by simply working alternating front and back post stitches, while the edging is comprised of single crochet stitches and chain stitches.
