Hello and welcome to Rich Textures Crochet! Today we are going to learn how to crochet the Into the Bush Cowl crochet pattern.

This cowl was designed to match the Into the Bush Beanie also found here on my website.

In my last post I shared the story of how every year my family and I love the visit the Sugar Bush! Each year we hear and relive the story and history of how Maple Syrup is made.  The day is spent exploring the maple bush, the sugar shack, syrup tasting and pancakes!

This cowl was named after this sugar bush experience and matches the hat I’ve designed with the same name, the Into the Bush Beanie found here: Into the Bush Beanie – Free Crochet Pattern.

Textured Hat and Cowl

Sugar Bush Yarns:

Both patterns are made using the beautiful yarn called “Shanty” by Sugar Bush Yarns.  It is a merino/linen blend which is absolutely wonderful to work with.  I love it’s texture and feel; it’s so soft!

I would like to thank Sugar Bush Yarns for providing the yarn for this design.  If you would like to get your hands on your own or learn more about Sugar Bush Yarns (designed in Canada, sold internationally!) you can check them out here: https://www.sugarbushyarns.com.

You will also need a 6mm crochet hook, a pair of scissors and yarn needle for weaving in your ends.

Pattern PDF:

This cowl crochet pattern will be written out in full below and is free to follow here on Rich Textures Crochet.  Some of the textured stitches may be challenging to catch onto so I have also included a free video tutorial below following the written pattern.  While watching, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel – It’s updated weekly with free patterns and stitch tutorials.

If you would like to add this crochet pattern to your library and purchase an ad free PDF, you may do so through my Etsy and Ravelry Shops linked below:
