Blend two of your favourite hobbies, crochet and reading, with this easy-to-work Tea Time Bookmark Crochet Pattern!
When it comes to crocheting during those warmer summer months, sometimes it’s nice to have a smaller project on hand!
Today, with this Tea Time Bookmark Crochet Pattern you can use up some of those smaller scraps of yarn in this pretty, practical project.

This Tea Time Bookmark crochet pattern is perfect for when you are one the go. It’s not going to use up a lot of yarn, you can make it in an hour or less, and you can do it using a light weight yarn you may already have on hand.
This crochet bookmark is worked along the long rows. It’s an easy repeat pattern that I have embellished with a little stripe of colour.
At the end, I added a simple single crochet edging before making and fixing a tassel to the end.
I am sure you will love this little bookmark pattern and, before you know it, you will have worked up some for yourself and your friends!

The Materials:
I enjoy working my crochet bookmarks in a 100% cotton yarn. I am using a light weight yarn by Yarnspirations called Patons Grace. You can learn more about it here: You can learn more about it here: Paton’s Grace – Yarnspirations.com
For this project you will also need a 3.75 mm (F/5) crochet hook.

For a simple tassel, cut 8 lengths of yarn about 10 inches long. Using your crochet hook pull the 8 pieces of yarn through the point in your bookmark. Cut another length of yarn about 12 inches long and up near the base of the bookmark wrap the yarn around the yarn several times. Tie a knot and then use a yarn needle to tuck the ends down through the centre of your tassel. Trim the tassel to ensure that all the ends are even.
