Hello and welcome to Rich Textures Crochet! Today we are going to learn how to crochet this adorable, very easy and quick pair of baby booties.

When I began working on my Cozy Baby Blanket (Found here: Cozy Baby Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern) I knew that I also wanted to design a pair of trendy baby booties to match! I love working with bulky and super bulky weight yarns, they make a project quick and they are super durable, warm and cozy.  A perfect setting for a cozy and warm pair of boots.

I’ve designed these boots so that they are easy to slip on, yet are slightly tapered around the ankle so (hopefully!) not as easy for your little one to slide off.

I haven’t done it on these pairs yet, but an option for these boots would be to pick up some Sock Stop or a product to make the soles of your boots non slip – especially important as baby learns to stand and walk.

The Yarn:

The yarn that I have used is the Thick and Quick by Lion Brand Yarn.  This particular one is a wool blend, giving them a little added warmth.  You may substitute for any super bulky weight yarn.  You will only need small amounts of each.  I have also used an 8mm crochet hook.

The pattern is available at the moment in three sizes – 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-12 months.  There will be more larger sizes coming soon!

PDF:

The crochet pattern will be written out in full below, however if you wish to purchase a copy in PDF format (for $2.50 CAD) you may do so through either my Etsy or Ravelry shops linked below.
