The Summer Breeze is an elegant shawl worked with three balls of Red Heart Unforgettable yarn.  It is the perfect accessory as those warm summer nights transition to fall.

The shawl is one of those timeless pieces.  I love how dynamic they can be, from light and airy to thick and warm.  I also love how they can be worn in a variety of styles with or without a shawl pin.

The Red Heart Unforgettable yarn is a worsted weight yarn but worked in this open lace pattern to give it an airy feel.  It is super soft and when it catches the light it shimmers.

Garment Care:

It is 100% acrylic so you may throw it in the washer and dryer, however I’ve found that washing it in the washer then laying it out flat to dry helps to preserve the vibrant colour and shape of the stitch.

The pattern is a fairly repetitive pattern that I hope you will catch onto quickly.  If you are unsure about how to “crochet in the 3rd loop,” please don’t hesitate to refer to the free video stitch tutorial below.

The pattern will be written out in full below, but if you would like to save this crochet pattern in your library, or purchase a convenient pdf download, you may do so from either of my Etsy or Raverly Shops linked below:
