I love to use scrubbies in my kitchen.  This one works up quickly and has the classic charm of the granny square!

granny square scrubby

Over the last few weeks I have been receiving requests for scrubbies! In particular ones that are worked around the circular plastic mesh scrubbies that you commonly find at dollar stores.

I thought, why not? I love to use scrubbies in my kitchen! And with the craft fair season upon us and the beginning stages of crochet Christmas preparation, a scrubby seemed like a good idea.

For this scrubby, I’ve taken one of the simple dollar store scrubbies and dressed it up a little bit using a classic granny square design.  The pattern only requires a small amount of your favourite worsted weight cotton making it a great stash buster! Mix and match colours to add your own taste and style.  They make up quite quickly!

Following the pattern printed below I have included a free video tutorial – don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/RichTexturesCrochet).

This pattern is also available as a PDF in both my Etsy and Ravelry shops, found here:
