Learn to Crochet with RTC Overview

img_3617Hi everyone and welcome to the first session of Learn to Crochet with RTC (Rich Textures Crochet)!

I am so glad you’re here and I am excited to be teaching you this wonderful art. It was someone by the name of Erika Knight who once said:

“THE JOY OF CROCHET IS ITS SIMPLICITY:lavender9
THERE IS ONLY EVER ONE STITCH IN WORK
AND JUST A FEW VARIATIONS OF THE BASIC
STITCHES TO MASTER, BUT THE
POSSIBILITIES OF USING AND COMBINING
THOSE STITCHES TOGETHER ARE ENDLESS.”

And she is right! Crochet is so simple, yet beautiful. Simple individual stitches ripe with endless possibilities for style and texture. It is my hope that through these tutorials you will be able to take these simple stitches, master them and learn to create your own masterpieces. It’s my hope that you will come to love the art of crochet.

I’ve have broken down the steps to learning how to crochet into easy sound bytes. Each lesson is short, teaching you one technique at a time. After the first eight lessons we pause and take a moment to “Put it all Together” where you will take what you have learned and apply it to making a simple item.

Over the next two months I will be releasing a session on Monday’s and Friday’s each week.  They will include both a written printable and a video tutorial, uploaded to YouTube but linked here!
