You are going to love the double sided texture in this quick-to-make Easy Textured Dishcloth crochet pattern!

Dishcloths are a wonderful item to crochet! They don’t typically use up a lot of yarn, you can mix and match colours, and they are fairly quick to work up making them a great gift for a friend or for your own self around the home.

I often find myself crocheting dishcloths in between, or even while I’m working on, larger crochet projects like blankets. They are so practical! I use them in my own kitchen and usually save up a small collection that I will add to gifts come Christmas. And, of course, they are also best sellers at craft sales.

The Easy Textured Dishcloth Pattern:

This crochet dishcloth is worked a modified version of the Cloud Stitch. In this wash cloth, instead of working single crochet stitch rows in between each of the textured rows, I have worked continuous textured rows. This means that, unlike in the cloud stitch, the texture in this washcloth is on both sides.

The easy dishcloth is worked in rows and then I have finished it off by working a simple row of reverse single crochet stitches around the outside edge. I really love how it turned out.

Materials for this Tutorial:

For this tutorial today I will be using a small amount of cotton yarn in one colour. This yarn is a worsted weight yarn 100% cotton yarn called Pima Cotton by Lion Brand Yarn. I will also be using a 5 mm crochet hook. The hook you will see me using in the video tutorial below is a favourite Clover Soft Touch Hook.
