The Boxed Cluster Stitch is a beautiful crochet stitch with a wonderful solid texture that would be suitable for a wide variety of projects.

This crochet stitch can be worked in a variety of yarn weights.  I will work it in a worsted/medium weigh below.  This Boxed cluster stitch is reversible although the two sides are not the same.  But both sides have a “finished” look about them with the wonderful solid texture.  The fabric has a solid grid-like appearance and on one side the boxes appear to be embossed and puff out a little bit.

The Boxed Cluster Stitch worked in a off white coloured yarn

The Materials:

For this tutorial today I will be using a small amount of Pima Cotton Yarn by Lion Brand Yarn in one colour. It is a worsted weight, 100% cotton yarn. The hook shown in the video below is a 5 mm birchwood crochet hook by Rowan Yarns.  However you may use any hook and yarn combination you choose, even experiment with stripes of colour!
